Circuit  & WW show
in Denmark 26-27 June 2010

Racquel and I started our trip to Denmark Friday morning on the ferry and met with Nina, Liv, Marcus and Trylle at a lovely hotel next to a golf course.  The setting was fantastic for all, especially the dogs with their warm coats, unlike the humans who had only taken summer clothes for the trip :-(

The weekend consisted of two dog shows, the Danish Leonberger Special Show on the Saturday and then the World Show on the Sunday.  Both days were very special, enjoying the company of many of my friends with their dogs and running around the ring on many occasions.  People had travelled from many countries for the shows, Russia, Sweden, England…. And many who had travelled distances did very well on both shows.  As you will see from the results it was a very good day for the Skjærgaarden kennel :-]

The weather was great for the dogs, maybe not so kind to the humans who had not packed the winter clothes but with Racquel`s company and humour we managed along with many laughs ringside on both days with Lotta,
Elise, Niklas, Susanne, Thomas, Sergey, Edel, Ann Christin and Kenneth and many many more .
Thank you to all that organised such a wonderful show on Saturday, Karen Marie , Pia and Vivan and probably many others that we didnt see.  The whole day was well organised and the atmosphere around the ring was lovely which made a very long very enjoyable.

Diego and me in the ring

The day drew an entry of 109 dogs from all over the world and even people from Japan just enjoying seeing the dogs.  The days judging took many hours as each dog was given a written critique, but the waiting was all worth while for many.  Judging was run a little different than normal in Norway, so the first class to be judged was the Champion Male class where Diego was 2nd behind Fairytroll's  Zorak Zoran who went on to be Best of Opposite Sex on the day.  Congratulation's Maria and Stefan!

Lars , winner of open class and 2nd best male at the Circuit show :)

Next our was Lars, brother to Poppy coming all the way from Russia.  He won the Open class (being the biggest of the day with 25 entries) and then came the 2nd Best Male gaining the CAC which gave him his Danish Championship title:)

Then to the girls on the day. First of the girls I showed was Elise's Fiona in the Champion Class, which she won and then went on to take the day, winning Best of Breed.  Congratulations Elise!

Fairytrolls Zorak Zoran og La Dolce Luna Super Shine Me

I also showed Rua Soleil  Alegrya daughter to Ruben and Berjleon's Sweet Godiva from Ruasoleil kennel, in the Junior class, which she won.

Rua Soleil Alegya , winner of Junior class

Next out was Meemoo who won her class, and over all the 3rd Best Female on the day.  Last but not least was Poppy who second in the Open Class out of an entry of 15.  In this class was won by Lotta's female Ami av Miss Universe who gained her second champion  title in two weeks, well done Lotta and her handler.

Others on the day that we also celebrated with were Skjærgaardens Cant By Me Love who was 2nd in the female Junior class.
Also Skjærgaardens Just 4 Fun who was 4th in the Champion bitch class and Skjærgaardens Cant By Me Love 2nd in junior class ..

All at Skjærgaardens want to congratulate all the winners on the day.

After packing the car we again travelled on to the next destination! We could not find our hotel so after a few phone calls found the concrete tower :-( no car parking spaces, 3 knackered dogs, bags and 2 exhausted humans ahhhhhhhhhh.

We were finally in our room for 9pm and no food or drink, so I called the Chinese Take Away we had driven past and by 10pm we were eating, and very very soon afterwards to bed called :-)

7am the next day we were up and getting ourselves organised for the World Show, where we could never ever have thought the day could go so well.  Many people were already set up around the rings when we arrived, one ring was to hold the Puppy & Junior judging and one for all other judging so it was not so easy to find a good spot to sit, especially with three dogs.
Again we started the day in the main ring with Champion Male, an entry of 20 where Diego was 2nd to Ruben who won the class.  Ruben ended up being best male taking the CACIB with Diego being 2nd best male with the RCABIB.  I again took Lars into the Open Male class, and entry of 27 where he made it to the last 5 and then had to leave the ring..

The CAC went to the Finnish dog, Pyrymetsan Candida.  The World Winner Junior Male title went to Vallonbygdens Crazy In Beer. Congratulations to you both !

Now to the girls on the day.
The Junior World Winner Bitch title went to La Dolce Luna's Heavenly-Me. Well
Done Elise and Carina Søren.   Now to my girls, Mee Moo was in Intermediate Class with an entry of 19 which she won with her sister Skjærgaardens Trick O Treat following close behind with a 2nd.
Memo then went on to win the whole day taking the CAC and CACIB and Best of Breed at only 20 months, this I never ever expected :-)

Next was Poppy in the Open Class, with an entry of 21, which she won and then went on to take the RCABIB.

Mee Moo & me ,Ruben & Eija in the ring with judge Gunnel Holm from Finland .

So as you can see the weekend was very kind to me and my dogs. More then i ever could dream of :)
The only thing that I forgot to do is to go and get my special photo taken on her little platform, so I have had to make some up in the garden :-)
